Ihsan craft it from the finest hand-selected, air-dried willow, then finish it with their special five-piece handle and a semi-oval profile for control. It plays front and back foot equally, which is the point of it. Every bat here is individually photographed, so you choose the exact one.

Ihsan X2 specifications

Grade 1 Limited Edition willow

Limited Edition is the top willow tier Ihsan use on the X Series, and the X2 gets it. Clefts are hand-selected and air-dried rather than rushed, which is what you are paying for: a blade that keeps performing rather than going soft after a season.

Extended swell and mid/low hitting zone

The extended swell is the X Series signature. Instead of concentrating everything into one narrow middle, it spreads the hitting area down the blade, so half-middled shots still carry. The zone sits mid to low, which suits driving and hitting through the line, but there is enough blade above it to play off the back foot properly. That combination is why the X2 gets described as an all-round bat rather than a specialist one.

Handle and control

A special five-piece handle absorbs shock through impact and keeps the blade responsive, and the semi-oval profile gives real control through the shot. Ihsan finish it with their newly designed grip. English willow must be prepared before facing a hard ball, unless it is already fully knocked in. Our optional Bat Preparation service covers linseed oil, 24 hours drying, 12,000 machine knocks, a scuff sheet and edge tape. Add a fitted toe guard too if the bat will see damp outfields or nets on hard surfaces.
