English willow and individual bat selection
English willow is a natural material, so grain structure, colour, natural markings, weight and balance vary from bat to bat. Crystal Sports photographs and weighs available CA Pro 15K bats individually, allowing you to choose the actual bat you want rather than receiving a randomly selected blade.
Profile, edges and sweet spot
The CA Pro 15K combines thick edges and a pronounced spine with a mid-to-low sweet spot. This creates a substantial hitting area suited to modern attacking stroke play while maintaining the balance expected from a premium CA cricket bat.
Handle and grip
The Pro 15K uses a three-piece cane handle designed to provide control and help manage vibration through impact. If you prefer a thicker handle, add an extra grip above and we will fit it before dispatch.
Knocking in and preparation
English willow bats should be properly prepared before hard-ball use unless already fully prepared. Our optional Bat Preparation service includes linseed oil, 24 hours drying, 12,000 machine knocks, a scuff sheet and edge tape. You can also add a fitted toe guard to help protect the toe from moisture and tapping damage.
