About this bat

The CA Pro 18K is CA Sports' premium-tier English willow cricket bat, engineered for club and league cricketers who want professional-grade performance without the price tag of the top-of-range flagship models. Made from Grade 1 English willow, each blade is selected for its responsiveness and natural willow colour — characteristics that separate this level of bat from the standard Pro range. The 18K designation marks it as one of CA's highest-graded production bats, positioned just below the Pro Limited Edition and Pro Legend at the top of the range.

The blade profile delivers a large, pronounced sweet spot with a mid-to-low swell — the profile favoured by front-foot players and stroke-makers who like to drive through the line. The full-profile design maximises the playing surface, and the three-piece cane handle absorbs vibration cleanly while maintaining responsive feedback. Balance and pick-up are a standout feature at this price point — the 18K plays noticeably lighter than its measured weight suggests.

CA's Glass Protek technology is applied to the face at the factory, reinforcing the willow surface and providing protection against early surface cracking. Every bat requires proper oiling and knocking before use; where bat preparation is enabled, we handle this fully before dispatch so it arrives match-ready. The bat ships with CA's signature 3D embossed stickers and a protective bat cover.

Frequently asked questions

The Pro 18K sits above the Pro 15000 and below the Pro Limited Edition and Pro Legend. It uses Grade 1 English willow and is one of CA's highest-graded production bats — a significant step up from the 15000 in willow quality and blade finish.
Glass Protek is CA's proprietary face treatment — a reinforcing layer applied directly to the willow surface at the factory. It protects against early surface cracking and extends the lifespan of the bat's face. It does not replace the need to knock the bat in before use.
All bats require knocking in before use. If our bat preparation is enabled, we oil, machine-knock and fit a scuff sheet before dispatch so it arrives fully ready. If you're preparing it yourself, start with light oiling, leave it to dry, then progress through light to heavy knocking over several sessions before using it in a match.
Yes. Select an extra grip in the add-ons section and we'll fit it to the bat before it leaves us. Available in Gray-Nicolls, GM Terrain and SG Player options.
Available weights and handle types are listed as variants on the product. If you're unsure what weight suits your game, message Yaseer on WhatsApp — he'll help you choose based on your playing style and level.
Most club players opt for between 2lb 8oz and 2lb 10oz. A lighter bat gives better manoeuvrability and is easier through the line; heavier bats offer more power but can tire you out in a long innings. Message Yaseer on WhatsApp if you'd like a personal recommendation.
