About this bat
The Gray Nicolls Legend Platinum Edition uses the top 5% of available English willow — clean straight grains, beautifully balanced, and handcrafted to exacting standards at GN's Robertsbridge workshop. The same iconic mid-blade profile as the flagship Gold Edition, at a price point that makes elite Grade 1 willow accessible to serious club and county-level players.
The blade features a mid blade with exaggerated spine, large offset edges and a classic round toe — delivering an exceptional balance of pick-up and power across front and back foot play. The semi-oval handle with TRACTION PRO grip provides responsive feedback and comfort through long innings, with a mid-to-high balance point that creates a feather-light feel in the hand.
Like all Legend editions, the Platinum requires knocking in before match use. Where our bat preparation service is enabled, we complete this fully before dispatch — oiling, machine-knocking and fitting a scuff sheet so the bat arrives ready to play from ball one.
