Fitted by people who play

Grips, toe guards, knocking in and sizing done in-house. If we wouldn't use it ourselves we don't sell it.

What you see is what you get

We photograph the actual item before dispatch. The bat in the selector is the bat that arrives — no surprises.

The ball

We sold other people's cricket tennis balls for years and heard the same three things every time: they go soft, the felt lifts once you tape them, and no two balls out of the same box bounce the same. So we made our own.

The Crystal Sports cricket tennis ball is built for the game it's actually used for — tape ball and softball cricket on hard surfaces, astro and matting. A denser felt for grip off the deck, a thicker shell that holds its shape after a full session of hitting, and a consistent 70g weight so the ball you bowl in the last over behaves like the one you bowled in the first.

Tapes cleanly with no felt lift, and plays just as well straight out of the pack for softball games and junior sessions.

Yes — it's built for it. The felt is bonded so it doesn't lift when you pull the tape off, which is the usual reason a taped ball only lasts one game.
Depends on the surface — on astro and matting expect several full sessions before the felt wears down. On rough concrete anything wears faster. A pack of 6 covers most teams for a season of nets.
