About this bat

The Bandook Burn Edition is the power bat in the heavy tennis ball range. Where most heavy tennis ball bats aim for a balance of power and control, the Burn Edition goes all-in on hitting area — 50–55mm edges and a 65–70mm spine give it one of the largest sweet spots in the format. If you want to clear the boundary consistently with heavy tennis balls, this is the bat that’s built for that. The diamond cut profile adds additional punch through the hitting zone.

Despite the massive edges, the slim 25–30mm toe keeps pickup faster than the profile suggests — the bat swings well and doesn’t feel dead through the stroke. Made from Kashmir willow, ready to play straight away with no oiling or knocking in required. Compatible with all heavy tennis balls including Nivia and Sixer stocked at Crystal Sports. For players who want more control and a lighter feel, the Saki King Cobra (35–39mm edges) is the alternative.

Frequently asked questions

The Burn Edition is the power bat — 50–55mm edges and a 65–70mm spine give it a significantly larger hitting area than the Saki King Cobra (35–39mm edges). If you want maximum hitting power and the biggest sweet spot, go for the Burn Edition. If you want a more balanced bat with better feel through timing shots, the Saki King Cobra is the better choice. Designed for heavy tennis balls in the 135g–145g range. At Crystal Sports we stock Nivia and Sixer balls which are both compatible. Not suitable for leather ball cricket.
No — ready to play straight away. No oiling or knocking in required.
The diamond cut refers to the angular shape of the blade profile, which concentrates weight through the middle of the bat. Combined with the thick edges and large spine, it maximises the power transfer on contact with a heavy tennis ball.
