About this bat

The Saki King Cobra Burn Edition is a dedicated heavy tennis ball bat built from Grade 1+ Kashmir willow — the highest grade in the Kashmir range. Unlike fibreglass bats, the King Cobra is constructed with a proper cricket bat profile: real edges at 35–39mm, a full 45–50mm spine, and a 4.5″ blade width that gives you a large, defined sweet spot rather than a uniform fibre surface. This is the bat for players who want the feel and response of a proper cricket bat but play with heavy tennis balls.

The thick toe at 48–50mm keeps pickup fast despite the weight — the bat swings freely and responds well to timing-based shots, not just brute hitting. Compatible with all heavy tennis balls including Nivia and Sixer balls stocked at Crystal Sports. No knocking in or oiling required — ready to play straight away. Come in store and pick it up before you buy if you want to feel the pickup in person.

Frequently asked questions

The King Cobra is made from Grade 1+ Kashmir willow — real wood with a proper cricket bat profile. It has defined edges (35–39mm), a full spine, and a 4.5″ blade that gives you a true sweet spot. Fibreglass bats have a uniform surface throughout. The King Cobra gives you better timing and feel on heavy tennis balls, while fibreglass tends to suit lighter balls like windball and tape ball.
The King Cobra is designed for heavy tennis balls in the 120g–145g range. At Crystal Sports we stock Nivia and Sixer balls which are both compatible. It’s not suitable for leather ball cricket.
