The SS TON Vertu is a refined, professional-grade English willow bat in the SS TON Range, designed for cricketers who want the combination of outstanding balance, light pick-up and serious power that the best bats offer. Built to the specifications of top international players, the Vertu delivers the signature SS TON profile — massive concave TON edges, a wide clean face, and a Sarawak cane handle — at a highly competitive price point.

The blade features a mid-to-low sweet spot with a full, traditional TON profile, delivering an enormous hitting area that works equally well for front-foot drives and controlled back-foot play. The slightly bowed blade helps with timing and stroke consistency, while the massive concave TON edges provide explosive power on contact. This is a bat built for consistent, aggressive batting across all formats.

Crafted from air-dried English willow to optimal moisture levels, the Vertu arrives with embossed chrome stickers and SS authenticity hologram. The Sarawak combination cane handle with 3-tone scale grip provides excellent shock absorption and control. As with all English willow bats, oiling and knocking in is required before match use — where bat preparation is enabled, we complete this fully before dispatch. Yes. Like all English willow bats, the Vertu requires oiling and knocking in before match use. If our bat preparation service is enabled, we handle this fully before dispatch — the bat arrives ready to play. If preparing yourself, apply a thin coat of raw linseed oil, leave overnight, then work through 3–4 knocking sessions progressing from light to heavy.
All SS English willow bats include a 3D hologram on the back of the bat and a stretchable barcode on the rear. The authentication number from the barcode can be verified on the SS Cricket website or through the SS mobile app to confirm the bat is a genuine SS TON product.
The Vertu's combination cane handle and traditional concave build give it an exceptionally light pick-up — many players find it feels an ounce or two lighter than the scale weight.
