About this kit

The SS Sky Junior Full Cricket Kit Set is SS TON's complete entry kit for young cricketers — carrying the Suryakumar Yadav (SKY) signature branding from the SS Sky range. Designed for juniors playing at school, training or club level, it bundles every piece of kit a young player needs into one bag, ready to head straight to the ground.

The bat is crafted from Kashmir Willow — the standard for junior and entry-level play, offering solid performance for heavy tennis ball and leather ball practice without the premium price of English Willow. The heavy-duty nylon kit bag features an external bat pocket so the bat travels separately from the protection gear, keeping everything organised and protected. The full set includes leg guards, batting gloves, thigh guard, arm guard, abdo guard and a helmet — every item needed for a properly equipped young batter.

Available in Sizes 3, 4 and 5 to suit different age groups, this is one of the most complete junior cricket kits available at this price point. The bat requires knocking in before use with a hard leather ball — for tennis ball and match practice it can be used more freely. See the size guide above to choose the right size for your child's height and age.

Frequently asked questions

Size 3 suits players up to around age 8 (up to 4ft 3in), Size 4 fits ages 9–10 (4ft 3in to 4ft 6in) and Size 5 suits ages 11–13 (4ft 6in to 4ft 9in). Kashmir Willow is grown in the Jammu & Kashmir region of India and is the standard material for junior and entry-level cricket bats. It's heavier and harder than English Willow, meaning it's more durable and requires less careful maintenance — well suited to the harder use patterns of younger players. English Willow offers better performance at the highest levels of play, but for juniors training and playing school or club cricket, Kashmir Willow is the practical choice.
Yes — if you plan to use the bat with hard leather balls in matches or nets, it should be knocked in first. Apply a light coat of linseed oil and allow to dry, then knock progressively from light to heavy over a few sessions. For heavy tennis ball play, the bat can be used straight away without preparation.
Yes — everything arrives packed in the kit bag ready to go. The protection items (gloves, pads, guards, helmet) are ready to use immediately. The bat is ready for tennis ball use from the box; if using with leather balls in matches, knock it in first as described above.
Yes — we stock the SS Sky kit at Crystal Sports, Unit 2, 200 Dunstable Road, Luton LU4 8JL. Open Monday to Saturday 10am–6pm and Sunday 10am–4pm. Yaseer is on hand to help you compare sizes in person and answer any questions about the kit.
Yes — the SS Sky set is designed for both heavy tennis ball and leather ball play at training, school and junior club level. The protection items (pads, gloves, helmet, guards) are fully suitable for leather ball cricket. The bat performs well with leather balls after proper knocking in, making this a genuinely match-ready junior kit at a great price.
