The rear retention system uses velcro straps with cushioned pads at the back of the helmet to allow precise adjustment of the fit. Rather than relying on a fixed shell size alone, the retention system lets you tighten or loosen the helmet around the back of the head until it sits securely without pressure points. This is particularly useful if your head is between sizes — you can fine-tune the fit rather than going strictly by circumference alone.

The swoppa band is the internal headband that sits against your forehead and absorbs sweat during play. On the Elite Pro it is fully removable — you can take it out, machine wash it, and refit it. This keeps the inside of the helmet fresh over a long season without needing to replace the helmet. Two spare velcro sets are included in the box alongside a mesh bag for storage.
