About this helmet

The Shrey Elite Pro Stainless Steel is a mid-to-premium club helmet from Shrey — one of the most widely trusted cricket helmet brands worldwide, with their helmets worn by international squads across Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and the West Indies. The Elite Pro sits in the middle of the Shrey range and brings together a proper high-grade construction with stainless steel protection at a price point that makes it accessible for serious club cricketers.

The shell is high-grade ABS composite with an EPS liner for increased shock absorption — a step up from basic single-shell construction. The premium stainless steel grille is fixed in place and provides increased facial and side protection with a clean uncoated steel finish. A rear retention system with velcro straps and cushioned pads allows the helmet to be fitted precisely to the head, avoiding the loose-fitting issues of simpler adjustment systems. An advanced airflow system is built throughout, and the removable and washable swoppa band keeps things fresh through extended use. Extended rear coverage adds protection at the back of the head beyond what the standard shell provides.

The Elite Pro is fully BS 7928:2013+A1:2019 and (EU) 2016/425 compliant, tested with both 4¾ and 5½oz balls — the full range of ball weights used in play. Weighs approximately 940g. see the size guide below to find your fit.

Frequently asked questions

Shrey sizing is based on head circumference measured approximately one inch above the eyebrows at the front and around the widest point at the back: Small 55–58cm, Medium 58–61cm, Large 60–63cm, XL 62–65cm. If you're between sizes, go up. If you're unsure, message Yaseer on WhatsApp and he can help.
The rear retention system uses velcro straps with cushioned pads at the back of the helmet to allow precise adjustment of the fit. Rather than relying on a fixed shell size alone, the retention system lets you tighten or loosen the helmet around the back of the head until it sits securely without pressure points. This is particularly useful if your head is between sizes — you can fine-tune the fit rather than going strictly by circumference alone.
Yes — the Elite Pro is BS 7928:2013+A1:2019 and (EU) 2016/425 compliant, tested with both 4¾ and 5½oz balls. It is suitable for all levels of recreational and club cricket. Shrey helmets are worn by international squads including Australia, England, India and Pakistan, and the Elite Pro brings that same brand reliability at club level pricing.
The swoppa band is the internal headband that sits against your forehead and absorbs sweat during play. On the Elite Pro it is fully removable — you can take it out, machine wash it, and refit it. This keeps the inside of the helmet fresh over a long season without needing to replace the helmet. Two spare velcro sets are included in the box alongside a mesh bag for storage.
The Shrey range runs from entry-level options up to the premium Koroyd and Masterclass Air helmets. The Elite Pro sits in the mid-range — above the basic Performance and Classic models, with a proper ABS/EPS construction, stainless steel grille and rear retention system. The step above it in the Shrey range uses titanium grilles (lighter weight) or the Koroyd technology (advanced impact absorption). For most club cricketers the Elite Pro hits the right balance of protection, comfort and value.
