Overview

The CEAT Gripp Master is built for power-first batting. The flat face provides superior weight control and precise shot execution, while the maximum edge thickness generates explosive carry through the ball. The full profile with minimal concaving means the wood is kept where it matters most — behind the sweet spot — giving the bat outstanding ping and a lively, responsive feel.

A large bow counterbalances the weight distribution, raising the centre of gravity and improving pickup despite the full profile. The aerodynamic back shape aids swing control through the ball. Weight is evenly spread across the back for consistent balance. A bat well suited to the T20 and ODI format where power at the crease is the priority. As with all English willow bats, knocking in is required before match use.

FAQs

The Gripp Master suits aggressive batters who prioritise power and explosive stroke play. The flat face, full profile, and large bow make it particularly strong in T20 and ODI formats where big hitting is the priority.
Minimal concaving means very little wood has been taken from the back of the bat — the wood stays where it matters most, behind the sweet spot. This maximises the ping and feel of the bat, at the cost of a slightly heavier pickup compared to heavily concaved bats.
Yes — all English willow bats require knocking in before match use. If our bat preparation service is enabled we oil, machine-knock and fit a scuff sheet before dispatch so it arrives ready to play.
