About this bat
The CA Pro 5000 is CA Sports' entry point into the Pro range — a handcrafted English willow bat built for developing and recreational cricketers who want CA craftsmanship and a genuine willow blade at an accessible price. Positioned at the base of the Pro range, the 5000 is a strong first step into hard-ball cricket and a popular choice for club players upgrading from Kashmir willow or fibreglass bats.
The blade carries a mid sweet spot with a clean profile and minimal concaving — a shape that rewards timing and through-the-line drives, and one that suits players still building their technique without the extra weight that comes with heavier profiles. The round cane handle offers a comfortable hold, and the bat's balanced weight distribution makes it manageable across all formats and pitch lengths.
CA's Glass Protek technology is applied to the face at the factory, protecting the willow surface against early cracking. The bat ships with CA's 3D branding stickers and a designer bag for easy carry and storage. As with all English willow bats, knocking in is required before match use — where our bat preparation service is active, we complete this fully before dispatch so it arrives ready to play.
