The ASICS Speed Menace FF is built specifically for medium and fast bowlers — not an all-round shoe adapted for bowling, but a shoe engineered from the ground up around the biomechanics of a fast bowler’s delivery stride. The key challenge for fast bowlers is the landing phase: the high-impact moment when the front foot plants and the body absorbs up to eight times bodyweight. The Speed Menace addresses this with DUOMAX™ technology on both the lateral and medial sides of the midsole, providing dual-density stability that resists the inward roll of the foot on landing — a primary cause of stress fractures and ankle injuries in fast bowlers.
The bowler-specific outsole uses a 4/6 stud configuration — 10 metal spikes total — designed to dig into natural turf and provide maximum grip through the approach, plant and follow-through. Deep flex grooves in the outsole work alongside the midsole to allow natural foot flexion at the point of delivery, so the shoe bends with the foot rather than fighting it. A synthetic leather upper with open mesh panels keeps the shoe structured and breathable through long spells. The 3D printed footbed provides a locked-in fit. Compatible with all ASICS Cricket Studs — both metal and rubber — so you can switch configuration for different surfaces.
UK sizes 8–13. Runs true to UK sizing. Designed for use on natural grass only — metal spikes are not suitable for artificial or synthetic surfaces.
