What is the laser-carved serial number?

Every Pro Legend bat has a unique serial number laser-carved directly onto the blade — not a sticker. This is a mark of individual craftsmanship and premium status. The CA emblem is also heat-sealed onto the grip as a seal of authenticity.

Does the CA Pro Legend need knocking in before use?

Yes — all English willow bats require knocking in before match use. If bat preparation is enabled we oil, machine-knock and fit a scuff sheet before dispatch so it arrives ready to play.

Can I add a replacement grip before dispatch?

Yes. Select an extra grip in the add-ons section and we will fit it before the bat leaves us. Available in Gray-Nicolls, GM Terrain and SG Player options.

The CA Pro Legend is the pinnacle of CA Sports' Pro range — a bat that represents over 65 years of willow craftsmanship distilled into a single model. CA has been making cricket bats since 1958, and the Pro Legend is the product of everything that experience has taught them. Only the most carefully selected Grade 1 English willow clefts make it into a Legend, handcrafted by CA's most experienced artisans with a level of finish you simply don't find at any lower price point.

The bat carries 12+ straight grains — and rather than covering the blade in stickers, CA let the willow speak for itself. Each Pro Legend features a unique laser-carved serial number on the blade and a CA emblem-sealed grip, making every bat a genuinely individual piece. The full-profile blade with duckbill toe delivers an excellent pick-up and responsive feel at the crease, with a strongly bonded cane handle providing vibration dampening and control through long innings.

CA's Glass Protek technology protects the toe at the factory. As with all English willow bats, oiling and knocking in is required before match use — where bat preparation is enabled, we complete this fully before dispatch so the bat arrives ready to play. The Pro Legend ships in CA's special prestige packaging — a bat that arrives feeling like an occasion before you've even picked it up.
