Does the CA BA 56 need knocking in before use?

Yes — all English willow bats require knocking in before match use. If bat preparation is enabled we oil, machine-knock and fit a scuff sheet before dispatch so it arrives ready to play.

Can I add a replacement grip before dispatch?

Yes. Select an extra grip in the add-ons section and we will fit it before the bat leaves us. Available in Gray-Nicolls, GM Terrain and SG Player options.

How do I choose the right weight for the CA BA 56?

The CA BA 56 is the entry point into CA Sports' Babar Azam signature range — built around the techniques and preferences of one of cricket's finest modern batsmen. As the flagship model in the BA 56 lineup, it is designed for club and league cricketers who want Babar's bat in their hands: a well-balanced, technically refined English willow bat that combines clean timing with reliable power across all formats.

The blade features a full duckbill profile with a wide sweet spot, large edges, and minimal concaving — a shape tuned for front-foot dominance and aggressive stroke play. The treble spring handle provides exceptional shock absorption and a responsive, connected feel, while the ergonomic BA 56 grip keeps control locked in through long innings. Despite its powerful build, the bat picks up noticeably light in the hand.

CA's Glass Protek technology is applied to the toe and face at the factory, reinforcing the willow surface against early cracking and wear.
